What is the Design Process ?

To give you an idea of what to expect from a design project, below is an overview of the process. Since every project is unique, the approach may differ, but will always include the following components:

Consultation: The first step with any project will be determining the customer’s needs. If you are interested in our work, simply Contact Us. We will determine what service(s) you are in need of and give you a quote. Next, we can either meet in person, or discuss the next steps further through email or telephone conversation.

Research: Once you commit to working with us, and a down payment is received, we will ask you a few more specific questions. The info you provide will help me better determine your needs and ensure we’re on the same page. Additional research may be required to learn about your industry, competitors, etc.

Creating: With this better understanding of your expectations, we can begin brainstorming and sketching out ideas onto paper. This is an important step, as well as the most time consuming. The aim here is to come up with as many quality designs as possible in the timeframe your project allows.

Refining: Next comes the task of selecting the best of the rough ideas, and making them more presentable. This involves scanning sketches into the computer, converting ideas into digital format, choosing appropriate fonts, color schemes and so on.

Presentation: Your design(s) will be presented to you in mockup form (ex: displayed on a business card, brochure, clothing, signage, etc). This will give you a better sense of what the logo will look like in real life application or as part of a cohesive brand. Along with these previews will include my analysis on the design.

Revisions: Upon your feedback, any necessary changes to the presented design(s) will be addressed (i.e. color, type, graphics modification). In the rare instance you find the design(s) we present to you are unsatisfactory, we will continue to work on new designs
until you are completely satisfied.

Finalizing: Upon your approval of a design, final payment will be expected. After payment clears, final design files will be sent via email or Dropbox. Assistance with printing can be arranged, as well as any other stationery or branding design needs.


How long will the project take to complete ?

Depending on the your specific needs and our current work load, the project length mary vary. Most Logo Design projects are completed within 3 weeks from the date of hire and after the deposit is received. Print Design and Custom T-Shirt projects may take 1-2 weeks. Web Design projects (depending on how complex) may take 2-5 weeks.


How long will it be before I see the first draft ?

You should be able to view the first draft or sample of your design(s) within 7 days after the project has begun and deposit has been received.


What if I do not like the design(s) presented to me ?

I am proud to say that we have never had an unhappy client. If the occasion were to arise, there would be two options. The first option would be that Get Noticed Branding will continue working hard with your design(s) until you are completely satisfied. The second option would be that you seek another designer or company and hire them (the deposit is non-refundable).


What forms of payment are accepted ?

We accept Cash, Check, Money Order or payment through PayPal. If PayPal is the option you prefer, please note that PayPal charges a 3% convenience fee for payments received. Therefore, we will be required to add an additional 3% to the total cost of our services. A 50% deposit (non-refundable) is due at the start of the project. The remaining balance will be due upon project completion but before the delivery of the design(s).


Why is the deposit non-refundable ?

Once the project has begun, we spend many hours researching your company and your competitors. Once we understand the type of products and services you offer, we begin the Design Process. On average 10-20 hours is spent creating your logo, or design(s). A website may average between 30-60 hours. If the Agreement For Design Services is terminated, or you seek another design company to assist with your project, we will keep the deposit for the hours invested into your project. All design(s) created up to this point will remain property of Get Noticed Branding.


Will you price match ?

In short, no we will not. Price matching is done when two items/products/services are identical. Since each graphic designer has a certain level of experience and invest different amounts of time into each of their projects, no two designers are the same or can be compared. The poor quality in work is often shown for people offering very low prices (especially on Craigslist). Get Noticed Branding offers VERY competitive rates. Just google "how much does a logo cost ?"


Once the project is completed, do I own the design(s) ?

All the rights to the final design(s) belong to you (once the remaining balance has been received). You may register or trademark your final design(s). It is important to own all rights to the design in order to avoid any legal issues after you have used it on printed material.
